why do so many people ask me if this car has vtec and when i say yes they can't believe it. usually followed by stupid questions like when did they start making them vtec's do people not realize this was the first vtec honda started with?

How can it have VTEC? It doesn't have a big VTEC sticker on the back.

I compensate by added a "Type R" sticker. That makes the car go faster.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but the CRX SiR had DOHC VTEC in 89-90 before the NSX. The first Honda/Acura car in the US market to have DOHC VTEC was the 92 Integra GS-R, followed buy the 93 Honda Prelude VTEC.
Personally I dont really consider the SOHC VTECs even in the same catagory as the DOHC VTEC cars, as they use the VTEC more as way to enhance fuel economy rather than an increase in perfomance/rev limit.
