Many individuals have some trebidation/hesitancy w/o actual images or pics and a hard-copy of a dyno-sheet outlining the overall performance. This is a reasonable response when $850-$950 is involved, not including installation efforts & labor.

I understand the hesitancy by those who have expressed it and several of them have bowed out (by taking their names off of the list), but there are still quite a few (6) who are still on the fence b/c of price. That's been set now. There are also some with other concerns that may or may not be/have-been addressed. That may be the chance one takes on an initial offering group buy. I, like Osiris, have taken into consideration all of the factors and decided to go for it - mainly off of ZTec's other proven product history.
It's been a while since I've read through this whole thread and I may have missed some posts but I beleive the group buy ended a couple weeks ago so deposits/payments could be made, a final count of each style (91-94, 95-96, etc) could be tallied and production started. With this few paid at this point I have to wonder if there aren't some participants who have paid and not posted a change in status or some who have changed their minds about buying and failed to take their name off of the list. I have been in enough gb's to understand there will never be 100% participation by those on the "list" but 20% (currently) isn't fair... Not to Lance, not to us who will likely be waiting for more payers to surface before production begins.

I'm sorry, I'm just used to participating in smaller gb's and seeing a much higher % having paid 2 weeks after its close.

I think people are missing out on a good product but to each their own....... I can bet this is going to be the best deal in headers for nsx for years to come. I am glad someone like Lance and Z-tek is offering some nsx parts at a reasonable price. Keep em coming Lance. I also can't wait till the high flow cats come out.

If you still have questions you feel need addressed, be pro-active and call ZTek assertively (not phone-tag or "I left a voice-mail, blah bla bha..."). Time for psoting/general-inquiring via forum has passed. And if the insight/comment offered by ZTek is pertinent to this thread, please don't hesitate add a comment for the greater concensus.

In fairness to those who have made a deposit or full-payment, the GB-list should be redone to get a finite # of parties. Perhaps Friday, July 20th 5pm PST. After that time, names will be removed w/o "deposit", "paid", "still interested" designations.

Just talked to Lance. he is at the races. He said that they Headers are being manufactured and are due in soon. He was not at the office to be able to provide specifics on due dates and exact status, but will when he gets back to the office. sounds like a few more weeks. that is consistant with the 3-5 weeks from the close of the gruop buy he quoted.

Lance, when you get back to the office, please post something here so we can all reference it and not keep bugging you.

I wish for some communication/update by the end of this week (Friday) to be posted, otherwise I will have to remove myself from the list & also pull-out my deposit.

I will pursue something else that will have in my possession in 2-3 weeks, at most. I understand the logistics and challenges that are faced in such situations, but mid-August was a date I had in mind to be the absolute latest for acquiring a set of headers (when planning my mods'/shoppe-work for the summer). I can't extend myself beyond this, regardless of the reason or situation.

You had the first response to Lance's post and look at the date he had there. I don't blame you for being somewhat annoyed.

I am aiming to get the GB price around $740-825, depending on quantity, with these GB sets availible in 3-4 weeks from today.

"Today" was 4/9. I'm sort of glad it worked out like this, if he had shipped on time, I would have bought his headers instead of being forced into finding another solution which ended up costing me $75.

We've defended and tried to keep this gb together to be rewarded with no communication. Not sure if the charges show on my c/c bill yet but I'm pulling out if there's no performance from Z-Tec by the weekend.

Unfortunately, time is approaching for a final decision. I do hope to have some corespondance on this thread from ZTek, as it's not of my responsibility as a consumer to chase the merchant for a simple affirmation of whether a product is going to be manufactured/delivered.

My NSX needs to have it's suspension adjusted/tweaked, as well as some cosmetic work (front-lip, rear-valance, misc' clips, etc'). I wish to have it in the shoppe at the same time as the ZTek headers/exhaust-manifolds installation. This not only makes things most convenient for me, but it also makes me very happy as there will be minimal down-time. You see, I'm an addict when it comes to my NSX. Period.

To reiterate, a precise date for delivery w/ explanation of relevant concerns is needed by the end of this business week (Friday, 5pm PST). If not, I will request the immediate refund of my $500 deposit in my next post on this thread. And for the record, I do not want that to happen as I feel what ZTek has outlined in terms product features seems to be a very attractive product for the introductory price. Only bit of sage-advice I can offer is that once a handful of units are delivered/installed/proven (dyno), you can expect many-many more orders. :redface:

All this is a shame. At hand, there's a desired product w/ features/characteristics, engineering/materials, quality/reputation, and model-specific/pricing that's been uniformly accepted by the customer.

In business relations, there is always some degree of compromise by both sides towards a mutually agreeable transaction. ZTek was unable to provide records of precise performance gains, a major selling-point that many prospective buyers wanted to see a hardcopy/evidence of. ZTek then should've altered their "buyer's committment" scheme (ie. $500 deposit or $800-$900 pay-in-full) to $100/deposit for a spot in the G.B. list, and for those who pay-in-full get 02 sensor wiring free (or anyother incentive).

Not many people keenly forget $100, and w/ that token amount of money ZTek gets their committment towards purchase... thus knowing how many sets of headers/exhaust-manifolds to fabricate. If buyer balks, they can get their $100 back at end of group-buy following full-delivery of allocated units, 100% guranteed.

SO to put it more concisely... Vendor offers the G.B participant something in return for being unable to provide "performance gains" documentation at this time, but will so in the future along w/ assurance/gurantee of the proposed 'gains'.

I'm straight-up serious when I say this: if there are 8-10 paid participants right now, there are 15-20 others who will purchase immediately upon a dyno report or two from those who have installed/dyno'ed the Ztek headers/exhaust-manifolds. And this is in lieu of another headers/exhaust-manifold G.B. going on at the same time, as well as a newly offered basic headers-setup on eBay as of late.

I really don't know what else I can say. Sad to say, it seems like ZTek is forcing us to get our deposits back?!?

BTW: for those who used PayPal, remember July 4th was the final day of the G.B. So for a refund, August 3rd will be the last day a complaint can be filed if the pursuit of a refund of funds w/ ZTek isn't going smoothly. Hopefully, this won't be the case because the headers/exhaust-manifolds are onboard the cargo ship FOK AAL en'route to Long Beach port... :biggrin:

I just got some updates...

I called ZeroTek Motorsports (linkie mo'fos!) & spoke w/ Jamie 916-715-8664. According to some print-out/invoices he checked, approx. 10 units are en'route to US and will arrive mid' August. To see whom they were allocated for, I had him check for my name which he found for one of the invoices (payment via PayPal).

Lance & the ZTek crew had been away/vacation for about 1 week.

If/when I receive my ZTek headers/exhaust-manifolds, I plan to install them & dyno' my NSX A.S.A.P.

For reference: my '91 5spd. NA1 dyno'd 240rwhp a year or so ago, bone-stock (K&N filter only) & stock 15/16 wheels w/ OEM Yoko A022-H's.

Now I have AIS-scoop (still K&N filter) and Taitec JGTC Parallel exhaust w/ 17/17 wheels (slightly lighter than OEM wheels) and OEM-sized Goodyear F1 GS-D3 tires. I also will dyno before & after swapping a NA1 NSX-R Mugen ECU-chip (presumably same as '95 Lemans NSX!). I hope to have my Scooby-Doo antenna mod' functioning by then...
