OK, for you armchair diagnosticians, please take your best guess.
Turning right into a parking lot at a somewhat aggressive speed, I clipped the curb with the rear passenger-side wheel. It hit hard enough for the rear wheel to exhibit road rash on the rim but no visible bend in the rim. I...
Ken, could you give some specifics on that? In my case, I have the late Whipple(2003 approx.) 1.6L and am running a hi-boost pulley. But if I wanted to to use the 2.3L or 2.9L unit, wouldn't a custom manifold or adapter plate be needed? Thanks.

The over-extension of credit and debt, both private and public, has occured under both Republican and Democrat administrations.
But the simple fact at this point is that we cannot solve a problem caused by too much credit and debt by trying to re-inflate the economy with additional credit and...
Not necessarily, at least as used by some manufacturers. The following unit is similar to the one used on the CTSC.

This condition just suddenly appeared. When the car is started, idle is normal unless the a/c is turned on. With the a/c on, idle speed fluctuates (yo-yo) and gets so low that the engine stalls. Turn the a/c off, or wait until the engine is at least partially warmed up, and idle is normal...
IMO, people who are dedicated to Porsche, Ferrari or other premium names are as dedicated to the name as much as they are to the car. The NSX, being an Acura, doesn't have the name appeal of brands with "history" behind them. Then there are fans of American muscle who tend to dismiss anything...

Also, specifically, this quote from AEM:
"1. The FIC has an O2 table, which allows you to change the O2 signal that is sent to the stock ECU. For older cars, we recommend using the O2 table in Offset mode, with MAP as the...
No, these injectors are relatively new. I removed the fuel rail for a problem unrelated (as it turns out) to the injectors and when I was reinstalling the rail I found one of the o-rings was broken.
Does anyone know the specs and a source for the o-rings for these injectors? I don't see any info on the RC Engineering website pertaining to replacement o-rings. I need a replacement for one of the lower(manifold) o-rings now but would like specs and a source on both lower and upper if anyone...
Thanks for the responses. Ron98's suggestion is exactly what I have in mind. Get a basic Snow Performance system for street use only, use it as a standalone method to reduce IAT at boost (6lb. threshold sounds reasonable), not integrated directly to the ecu/F/IC. In other words, keep it...
I'm interested in adding a water/meth injection system to a hi-boost CTSC (Whipple) setup which is using the stock ecu/AEM F/IC. What I want to achieve is lower IAT without the tune depending on having the water injection present so that any failure of the water injection system should not...
Any updates on this? Problems encountered with the stock ecu trying to override the FIC changes in fuel or timing? Is this something that could eventually be a better alternative to the AEM standalone, at least in regard to diagnosis and service at an Acura dealer, or will the FIC pretty much...
Your writeup will indeed help those of us who are looking for an AEM standalone alternative. Just some encouragement - I, for one, will appreciate as much detail as you can provide. Thanks!

I bought my exhaust from Hennessy in, I believe, 1994. Still have it on the car and have always liked it. Cost about $1300, but it was the only aftermarket exhaust for the NSX that I was aware of at that time. Before I bought it, I got info from someone indicating that Borla was the...
I installed Bilsteins about two months ago following the guidance given previously in this thread. The only real problem I encountered was that the original lower shock mounts fit so tightly in the lower suspension arms that pressing down on a suspension arm just elongates the shock rather than...
Apparently there is an updated version 2 of the AEM ecu which is slightly smaller and is more convenient for wiring the VTEC connnector. Does anyone know if there are any differences in functionality? Will a map from version 1 work the same with version 2 and vice versa? Any other reasons to...
Not to change the subject, but has anyone not using an aftermarket ECU replaced the Comptech-supplied FPR with the Vortech Super FMU? It would appear to provide more latitude for adjustment. It seems, if memory serves, that the Vortech FMU may have been used with the Comptech Hi-Boost kit for...
That is the installation manual that was supplied with my Whipple SC along with separate instructions for installation of the ESM. I installed the SC myself from those instructions, so I can say that they are complete and adequate for the job, although they could be clearer with more detail.
