Bob: please remove me from the dinner list as I will not be arriving at the falls motel until around midnight on the 26th. Brits will still be at the house until an afternoon flight. Sorry. :frown:

So true. Yeah, they don't have Independence Day. Jennifer has to be back at work on Monday the 4th. Our brave men had to die 200 years ago to earn it from them!

I hate to miss the Glenora dinner and socialising. Damn! There I go again with that Brit spelling. zzzzzzz!

I will be making menu selections later today and will post the choices. Other than Roger, if anyone has dietary restrictions please let me know ASAP.

I thought we covered this already? Hooved baby animals?

I'll eat anything...

Tytus

please include unicorn filet....

I will post the menu to get some input from the P.E.T.A. members in our group ("People Eating Tasty Animals").

So far I have selected the Veraisons Green Salad and two of our three entrees will be the Organic Chicken and Alaskan Wild Salmon.

Typically, I have included a pasta/shrimp dish but if there is support for something else as a third entree in the range of $25-27 (sorry, Tytus, that still eliminates steak) please let me know asap.

Since I will be driving solo late, maybe I'll grab a steak in Binghamton.
Wine of choice= ShopRite White Port.

If you don't have to accomodate the vegetarians with a pasta dish, then go with a fanstastic pork or beef dish. Just looked at their menu and my 12 1/2 cents (my rates went up)

From their menu I lust after this:Grilled Chimichurri Lamb Kabob $26
Finger Lakes Farm lamb, basmati rice and minted organic yogurt
(suggested wine pairing Syrah)

Though think the Shrimp with pasta would accomodate the non meat eaters better as the shrimp could easily be removed and it seems as if there are less shrimp allergies than scallop allergies.
Capellini Shrimp Pasta $24
Sautéed shrimp, garlic, crushed tomatoes, capers, basil and parmesan cheese
(suggested wine pairing Sangiovese )
