NSX parked next to a ________ thread for size comparos

Granted the NSX will never be as wide as a Lambo or R8 based on the specs above I find it interesting that a car we see quite often, the e92 is virtually the same as the NSX!

71.3 (nsx) vs 71.2 (m3)

But as with each car there are 3 dimensions so width is only one. Roofline height and length are the other two demensions.

I know the NSX front fender has got to be one of the lowest around even when the car is not lowered. On a lowered car like mine, few cars can match that fender height. I know the Ferrari that was parked next to me was roughly 2-3" higher using the "eyeball" method.

When I get back in town I'll do some more measurements as I find all of these numbers quite intriguing, must be my nerdy side :)

NSX width = 71.3 inches

S2000 width = 68.9 inches

RX 7 FD width = 68.9 inches

EVO 7-9 width = 69.7 inches

STi width = 68.5 inches

E46 M3 width = 70.1 inches

E92 M2 width = 71.2 inches

Supra TT width = 71.3 inches ( everyone calls this car fat looking )

so as you can see, our cars are pretty wide compared to our peers. its only when you start going into lambos and ferraris that we start to get dwarfed but those cars are as wide as trucks

lambo murcielago lp640 width 81 inches

lambo gallardo width 74.8 inches

for reference sakes

First Gen chevy envoy width 71.4 inches ( as wide as our NSX )

2nd gen MR2 turbo width 66.9 inches ( wow much narrower than i thought, we have over 5 inches on this car )

you forgot one of your peers in that list

C6 Z06 = 75.9 inches wide

yes, it's wider than a Gallardo and over 4 inches wider than an NSX. Come's stock with 325/30/19's in the rear. Got to have some meaty tires to put down 500+hp!

Iceman3K: I love your C6 vette - that is an amazing color combo! :) I have never owned a vette but one day I will have one, perfect DD IMO.

Can you take some pictures of both your car parked "nose to nose" up close and maybe an overhead shot showing their width comparisons?

Are all Vettes the same width or only the Z06 is that wide? Glad to see the Corvette can match the Gallardo in pretty much every spec and still beat it in performance for 1/4 the price.

What is the latest model, (one with the supercharger in a plexi window) a C7?

Thanks! I actually have a truck for when it rains and I need to get stuff done. I drive the Z06 about half the time though. My friend with the NSX and I will take some pictures this weekend for you.

base C6 = 72.6 inches wide
C6 Z06/ZR1 = 75.9 inches wide

C6 is the latest model. There is a base, Grand Sport, Z06 and ZR1. The base/Grand Sport share the same steel frame and engine, the Z06/ZR1 share the same aluminum frame with the Z06 having a 7.0 ltr V8, and the ZR1 having a 6.2 ltr supercharged V8.

Sometimes I wish they didn't make the base/grand sport. But I know that without the base/grand sport models, the price of the Z06 and ZR1 would be higher and I probably wouldn't have been able to afford the Z06 I have now!

Well the z06 is a wide ass car. If you compare a standard c6 to a nsx its about the same.

thank you for those figures, that really helps!

So what is a NSX wide-body just out of curiosity? I'm going to look up the Audi R8 (v8 and v10 models should be different)....

My Bros Veilside measured 79.4 inches rear side to side
78.10 front side to side

My Sorcery Flared rear quarters modified measured 75.01
Front Sorcery measured 74.00

SWEET this was the picture I was looking for! Did you get any more shots nose to nose or parked closer together?

The NSX looks so nimble vs. the goliath parked next to her!

thanks for posting

Not the best quality pic or angle (sorry)...but here it is:
