The STMPO Messiah Exhaust

Sounds like a muscle car.

The car doesnt wind up that fast, in fact with the drive by wire it is kinda slow. BUT what is hard to comprehend is just how slight of a throttle blip it takes to produce that sound...

cozmo, it has the normal mufflers....

So, let's make this simple for everyone.

Stock headers, Stock clutch, Stock flywheel, Messiah exhaust without any upgrades (the basic $2k one), with test pipes/no cats?

Stock headers, no cats, STMPO "basic" Messiah exhaust with test pipes built in. Custom 4 inch tips. I think in the video it still has the 3 inch tips.

I wasnt there for that part. If you look closely Joe is holding up a cell phone and I am on the other end for the first engine start

I know there are a couple more sound clips fromt hat day and I plan on doing some more. I am just not the most computer savvy person so it may take me a while to figure it out...

The quality of the welds and the sound it produces are amazing!

I think the test pipes helps with the exotic sound.

in the quote he was talking about my car and the deal he offered (the rest is known). maybe the 'messiah' performs a miracle and makes him grow up and take responsibility. i can't believe people are still giving him cars to work on.

Maybe. The "messiah" is to have said to make people change.

I think the test pipes helps with the exotic sound.

I ran an aftermarket exhaust with test pipes and they def make a difference. But those cat designs look interesting to say the least.

Due to the design the cats will attenuate the high pitch noise spectrum on most exhaust. You're correct.

I'm curious to hear how loud these are. Unfortunately, from what I can tell from the 30 sec video that's pull-over central here with LAPD. Which is a big bummer because it reminded me of how awesome a straight pipe Carrera GT sounds.

Easy fix (that many Domestic V8 guys use - since they are light years ahead of imports in still many areas):

Of course I'm not suggesting that one breaks the law and open an ozone hole over their neighbor's yard and make birds fall outta the sky like a biblical event.......

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one but I'm getting tired of seeing threads hijacked.
I am not taking sides here but please stay on topic. If you have a problem with someone, there is a subforum for that.

Agreed......

I must say that I feel for your situation swerve. As you have stated and as Ross will state himself he is a fabricator not a mechanic. BUT you have an entire thread on this. I dont really see the reason to make the same comments over and over on this thread.

Some will choose to do business with STMPO, some will not. I for one feel most products he offers and will be offering are needed on my car for my particular needs. My car is tracked and with STMPO products, I have noticed a significant improvement in my X. I have been nothing but satisfied with the treatment I have received from Ross, and those he chooses to contract with.

3" tips....

Looks nice, but no cats is a deal breaker for me and it is too pricey IMO for as little material as it uses compared to say the PRIDE exhaust that has twice as much metal.

Ti dave said it best... more is always more...

Quality over Quanity.. and we do offer a cat shelter upgrade for 400.00 more.

Quality - The bends we use cost over 70.00 each.. these arent your everyday SS 90's

The v-band flanges are also SS... almost every v-band I ever had in my hand were mild steel... it took sometime to find the flanges.

Quanity - At 21.7 lbs... why would you ever want more bends... and the 21.7 lbs included the cat delete's... Ti exhausts are the only lighter wieght alternative... Ti is also not the ideal metal for exhaust... it doesnt like the heat and they break at the hangars overtime... I know this because we have re-welded a few of them for owners.

Regards

Fair enough. I am looking forward to hearing more clips and maybe someone will order one with the cats in it.
